Position Title: Medical doctor and team leader
Location: Tweineh camp
Reporting to: Medical Officer
Direct reports: Medical unit team
Number Needed: 1

Job Profile:
Under the direct supervision of the Medical officer, the position will be primarily responsible for providing
curative and preventive services to the patients in the camps and will manage directly medical unit team in those
locations.
The Medical doctor will also coordinate with RI’s relevant departments and provide technical support to the
medical staff, provide consultative services and ensure effective patient management, ensuring training of the
staff according to the needs, advice on beneficiary satisfaction and staff adherence to standards of service

Person Specification:
Essential criteria

• Qualified Medical Doctor degree.
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in the relevant field.
• Preferably work experience in emergency situations.
• Local language required.
• Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Applicant should not be having another Job if he/she got selected.
Desirable criteria
• be skilled in Microsoft Office
• English language will be an asset

Responsibilities

Accountability and Complexity

• Provide curative and preventive services following MOH or international recognized treatment protocols.
• Manage directly medical unit team.
• Supervise activities of other team members in the field and supervise the reporting tools.
Maintain universal precautions for infection prevention
• Perform minor surgical procedures i.e. dressing, stitching.
• Ensure in a daily basis that supplies, equipment’s and medicines are available for the team.
• Refer patients when diagnosis or treatment is not possible at the site.
• Arrange/facilitate for the shuttle services to transport the patient to the nearest referral facility.
• Make timely request of supplies, equipment and medicines.
• Cooperate with the medical program managers/supervisors related to their activities.
• Attend RI trainings and program meetings as required.
• Prepare statistics and reports for the program.
• Perform any other duties and functions, as needed or requested by the organization and line manager.
• Must be able to travel within the intervention area inside Syria.
