Position Title: Nurse
Location: HSK-Alhol camp
Reporting to: Medical Officer

Job Profile:
The Nurse will be responsible for understanding triage, which is a method of prioritizing injuries based on medical need. must have the ability to make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions.

Skills, knowledge and expertise required for the role.
Essential criteria
•Diploma in Nursing and/or experience with a reputable organization, including 1-2years experience
•Effective communication
•Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for patients at all times is essential.
•Ability to lead, train, supervise and facilitate
•Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to details.
•Local language is essential.
Desirable criteria
•Preferably work experience in emergencies.
•Microsoft Office skills
•English language will be an advantage
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1.Administer different kinds of medications or treatments and insert catheters as directed by the physician.
2.Answer patient call signals to determine patients' needs.
3.Apply clean dressings, slings, or bandages under direction of physician.
4.Assist physicians in the operation of medical equipment or provision of patient care.
5.Collect specimens, such as urine, feces, or sputum.
6.Transport specimens, laboratory items, or pharmacy items, ensuring proper documentation and delivery to authorized personnel.
7.Change bed linens or make beds.
8.Communicate with patients to ascertain feelings or need for assistance or social and emotional support.
9.Document or otherwise report observations of patient behaviour, complaints, or physical symptoms to physicians.
10.Gather information from caregivers, or physicians about patient condition treatment plans, or appropriate activities.
11.Measure and record food and liquid intake or urinary and fecal output and report changes to medical staff.
12.Observe or examine patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention, such as bruises, open wounds, or blood in urine.
13.Provide physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, and standing, walking, or exercising.
14.Record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate as directed by medical staff.
15.Set up treating or testing equipment, such as oxygen tents, portable radiograph (x-ray) equipment, or overhead irrigation bottles, as directed by a physician.
16.Stock or issue medical supplies, such as dressing packs or treatment trays.
17.Supply, collect, or empty bedpans.
18.Transport patients to treatment units, testing units, operating rooms, or other areas, using wheelchairs, stretchers, or moveable beds.
19.Turn or reposition bedridden patients.
20.Wash, groom, shave, or drape patients to prepare them for surgery, treatment, or examination.
21.Explain medical instructions to patients or family members.
22.Lift or assist others to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, surgical tables, or stretchers.
23.Provide information such as directions, visiting hours to visitors or callers.
24.Apply hygiene standards and adhere to IPC procedures in all medical activities
25.Assist in the supervision and training of junior medical staff.
26.Keep all patients’ documents confidential, and never disclose any information related to the patient unless authorized by him/her.
27.Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
