Requirements

Education: 

BSc/BA in law, business administration, engineering or a related field. Preferably master’s degree.

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance or monitoring or internal or external audit with humanitarian organizations.

Knowledge:

Rules and regulations of organizations, effective problem solving, situation analysis, providing context, organization management and knowledge of vulnerability and risks

Skills: 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Integrity and professional ethics as well as attention to details.

Languages:

Very good language skills in English and Arabic.

Reporting:

Very good skills in reporting in English language

Responsibilities

♦ Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, Code of Conduct and Business Ethics by evaluating or recommending the initiation of reviews.

♦ Receive complaints from IDPs/Refugees in Al-Hole camp, review the compliance cases and consult with the Compliance Manger for conducting investigation.

 ♦ Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns within the organization are appropriately evaluated and investigated with the support of the Compliance Manager.

♦ Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.

♦ Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk in Al-Hole camp, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.

♦ Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to the Compliance Manager.

♦ Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program including promoting use of the Compliance Hotline and heightened awareness of the Code of Conduct.

♦ Performs spot checks of procurement files, personnel files, finance files, floor checks, beneficiary lists and inspection of inventory.

♦ Works with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop effective compliance training, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and daily hired staff.

♦ Reports on daily/weekly compliance issues and activities to the Compliance Manager and update on general situation in Al-Hole camp.
