Requirements
Core Competencies:
♦ 5-year experience in Technician or (agricultural engineer) or any specialty nearby, preferably with experience in working with NGOs.
♦ Excellent networking and coordination skills.
♦ Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in Arabic Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
The crisis in Syria has entered its eleventh year with few prospects for an imminent end to the violence that is faced on daily basis and impact the lives and exacerbate the vulnerability of children, women, the elderly, and the disabled.
In addition, the widespread displacement and deterioration of living conditions have negatively influenced the social and economic fabric of Syria.
As a response to the emerging needs of the Syrian population, and in line with the overall framework of the Syria Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP 2018), Strategic Framework for Syria (2016-2018) and UNDP Country Programme Document, UNDP Syria is working under three main portfolios: Infrastructure and Basic Service Rehabilitation, Socio-economic Recovery and Social Cohesion.
The project technician will be recruited, through a third-party contract, to support the production of fertilizer – Compost in Provide Organic fertilizer to wheat farmers project
Objectives of the Assignment
the main objectives are:
♦ Support for wheat – based food processing / women groups for income generation and sustaining livelihoods.
♦ Capacity building & seed fund as productive workshops for maintenance of agricultural machines.
Scope of work
The project Manager will be supervised by the Socioeconomic and livelihood technical officer and will receive regular guidance from EDL project supervisor to fulfil the following tasks:
♦ Good experience managing socio-economic development activities and livelihoods in the targeted area.
♦ Experience with technical specifications of the Agricultural machines.
♦ Good knowledge at food processing field.
♦ Experience in technical aspects of preparation procedures to work as choosing the work website and the number of workers.
♦ Assistance by setting a timetable for the project and the implementation of action plans.
♦ technical supervision, follow up and implementation of project's activities.
♦ Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper activities implementation on the ground.
♦ Perform other duties as requested
♦ Ability to afford work pressure and adapt to the work context.
♦ Allocating tasks between the team in a proper and effective manner
♦ Ensuring the implementation of the work according to what was stated in the project time plan, diagnosing problems, and preparing proposals to reach the goal
♦ Providing support to the project team to complete the plan with the appropriate quality and timing and the ability to motivate the team
♦ Experience in scheduling meetings and training courses and ensuring their implementation with high quality.
♦ Coordinating with the local partners and with everyone related to the project and coordinating with it to ensure the proper implementation of the project objectives
♦ Verify that the targets match the targeting criteria as stated in the project document.
♦ Supervising and making periodic visits to fieldwork centers (surveys + technical examinations).
♦ Supervising the preparation of technical conditions books for equipment purchases.
♦ Ensure that all project documents are arranged and properly maintained.
♦ Preparing periodic and financial progress reports and all work developments and difficulties with proposing appropriate solutions.
♦ Final product/Deliverables (For Output Based Contracts, clearly indicate milestones and percentage of total lump sum that will be paid for completion of each milestone)

♦ Expected Places of Travel: All the Governorate
♦ Candidates with more than 3 months Third Party Personnel contract validity, will not be eligible to apply for this position
♦ Duration and Type of Assignment: 5 months
