Requirements
♦ University degree in Journalism, Business, Economics, Social sciences, Engineering or another relevant field
♦ Fluency in written and spoken Arabic
♦ Experience with a local or International NGO is a plus
♦ Experience in working in multi-cultural environments is a plus
♦ Exposure to northeast Syria programming a plus
♦ Minimum one-year experience working with an INGO or LNGO.
♦ At least 1 year of progressively responsible professional experience in professional experience in working with business initiatives, livelihood etc.
♦ Previous experience in providing business development services such as business plan preparation, market expansion etc. is advantageous
♦ Basic understanding of the concept of women economic empowerment and application in the field
♦ Commitment to gender, diversity and human rights.
♦ Ability to work in unstable, uncertain or potentially dangerous environments, independently and in a team
♦ Good facilitation skills.
♦ Good reporting and data management skills.
♦ Strong coordination capacity and excellent interpersonal communication skills. m. Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
♦ Excellent skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point.
♦ Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English, Kurdish will be an asset.
♦ Pro-active and helpful attitude, ready to take on variety of new tasks.

Responsibilities
The Business Support worker will work under the direction and supervision of the WEE Officer. S/he will be responsible on facilitating the training of the selected women led businesses and facilitate selection, set up and training of new women led businesses and Co facilitating and supporting the training the TOT training. S/he will need to regularly implement and communicate with business support team in order to ensure the effective, day-to-day implementation of capacity building activities to the selected women led businesses and TOT trainers.
Note: The project is pending donor approval and the position being filled is subject to project approval.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
♦ Support the identification and selection of women led businesses. This includes, support in advertisement, and longlisting of potential business.
♦ Organize business plan competition, shortlisting business and provide field inspection and reporting
♦ Support organizing business plan development workshop and finalize business plans for women led businesses.
♦ Support the WEE officer in preparing business grants and financial settlement for grant provided to businesses
♦ Support developing and updating training plans and skills development requirements for women led businesses
♦ Support developing training modules as required.
♦ Facilitate training of WLBs groups in our targeted locations.
♦ Conduct pre and post monitoring tools including post and pre/post tests and other tools as required and report results.
♦ Documenting attendance sheets, participant’s feedback, photos etc.
♦ Provide inputs for drafting training completion reports.
♦ Prepare market expansion support and plans for selected women businesses by identifying appropriate promotional activities
♦ Organize market events such as exhibitions etc. as and when required
♦ Gather weekly plans of service providers and discuss weekly achievement and challenges.
♦ Conduct regular filed visits to women led business and prepare a progress report.
♦ Co-facilitate delivering further trainings to the existed PERSEVERE’s TOT trainers as and when required.
♦ Any other tasks that’s has been provided by the women economic empowerment
♦ Participate in the development of monitoring tools for women led businesses.
♦ Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports as requested by WEE Officer.
♦ Assist WEE Officering compiling need assessments data, organizing data files and pictures, tracking sheets and improving training material.
♦ Collect and organize information on progress of women led businesses.
♦ Support the documentation related to women led businesses, including photos, attendance sheets, pre/post tests and monitoring reports.
♦ Conduct bi-weekly monitoring visits to women led businesses as agreed in the plan, gather required data and prepare field visit reports
♦ Support MEAL department in gathering data from the businesses e. Support any special surveys or information gathering
♦ Coordination and provide guidance to other workers.
♦ In collaboration with the PERSEVERE team and MEAL team, monitor the impact of the program activities on the beneficiaries
♦ Fully participate in any learning reviews, ensuring that final recommendations are shared with the relevant team members and eventually incorporated into program activities
♦ Provide regular updates to WEE Officer and team on progress, priorities and constraints, both verbally and in written form
♦ In general, make sure that a positive and professional image of is conveyed. In particular, ensure that mandate, thematic policies, ethics, values and views are followed in relation to third parties
♦ Coordinate with all teams to identify and implement integrated response when applicable.
♦ Use Programme resources effectively and with care, and mobilize local resources wherever possible. Facilitate mobilization of local resources and encourage maximum use of them.
♦ Support administrative, logistics and documentary support during the training
♦ Filling the attendance sheets.
♦ Assist in organizing visits, meeting, events, trainings and workshop and participate as needed.
♦ Bring special attention to risks of fraud and corruption and ensure CARE’s whistleblowing policy and mechanisms are disseminated and understood by the team.
♦ Submit weekly movement plans according to the program priorities and weekly plan.
♦ Gathering all invoices for women led businesses and ensure the grant been spent according to the agreement.
