Requirements

♦ University or institute degree in education, psychology or social studies (mandatory requirement).

♦ At least two years experience in dealing with children or teaching (mandatory requirement).

♦ Minimum one-year experience working with an INGO or LNGO

♦ Experience in psychosocial support and child friendly spaces is an incentive for employment.

♦ Previous experience in dealing with children with special needs, and this condition is one of the incentives for employment.

♦ Excellent experience in organizing, coordinating, analyzing and communicating effectively.

♦ successful candidates will have experience of working with children in a PSS context.

♦ Excellent skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point.

♦ Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

This person will deliver the PSS curriculum to children and adolescents in IDP camps. They will be required to plan sessions based on the curriculum, deliver those sessions to groups of children, monitor attendance and progress of the children, deal with behavioral and other issues and update daily records to show attendance and progress.

♦ Take full responsibility for the implementation of TLC activities, especially structured psychosocial support programs, early childhood development activities and/or non-formal education activities in accordance with the agreed action plan

♦ Supervising and supporting children’s play activities at the agreed time

♦ Ensure a safe and child-friendly atmosphere within the educational center.

♦ Conducting a daily visual assessment of children and ensuring that there are a variety of games and activities organized within the educational center, to meet the needs of children of different ages, genders and abilities.

♦ Track children’s individual improvement in learning with individualized early childhood development models

♦ Support the preparation of early childhood development activities and/or non-formal education classes (literacy and numeracy) and/or psychosocial support activities.

♦ Ensuring children feel comfortable, safe and respected.

♦ Record attendance of children on daily basis, and weekly report.
