Responsibilities

A. Managing the storage:
1. Monitoring the number of packages in accordance with the cargo manifest. Drawing his supervisor’s attention to any problems and taking the necessary measures.
2. Dividing the material up in accordance with the stock’s organization and noting the entries and exits on the stock cards.
3. Monitoring the entries and exits (quantity, origin, destination, etc.) of logistics material and all items in the stock.
B. Managing the upkeep of the capital stocks:
1. Arranging the stocks and keeping them as clean as possible.
2. When required, arranging the goods on the shelves or pallets in an organized, clean and easily-accessible manner.
3. Checking that stock cards are kept updated by noting all necessary information in accordance with procedures set up with the Field Logistic Manager.
4. Checking that items are stored by family, according to pre-established lay outs allowing satisfactory storage.
5. Checking the lay out, identification and management of the dispatch area.
6. Monitoring the working order of storage and handling material (cold chain, hoists, etc.).
7. Updating and compiling inventories.
C. Managing stock security:
1. Being the person, along with the Field Logistic Manager, authorized to exit material. Each exit should be with his authorization and under his supervision.
2. Checking that doors and other openings close properly.
3. Assurance of Basic Security/Safety/First Aid equipment are distributed in the warehousing areas.
4. Drawing attention to all disappearances or signs of infraction without delay.
D. Managing the reception of locally-purchased goods and dispatching them to the projects:
1. On receiving orders, notifying the Field logistic manager that the items are available in stock.
2. Monitoring minimum levels and notifying his manager.
3. Being responsible for the packaging of dispatched items.
4. Monitoring the availability of a buffer stock for the main items (defined with the Field Logistic Manager) required for the smooth running of the project, informing the Logistic Coordinator of any needs.
5. Checking the availability of stored material (working order, expiry date, etc.). For this, testing the material entering the stock, providing appropriate storage, cleaning and carrying out any tests required.
