Duty station: Al Hassakeh
Reports to: Logistics Team Leader (Derek)
Supervision of: 1 Technical Logistics Assistant (procurement), 1 Technical Logistics Assistant (WH and Assets), 1 Logs Assistant/Handyman
Travel:  20% (to camps and Raqqa)


Generic professional competencies: 
•             Experience from working as a Support Function Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
•             Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
•             Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
•             Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.


 Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience: 
·                  Minimum 1 year experience in managing a team of 3 or more staff is required
·                  Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Logistics Function.
·                  Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential
·                  Good diplomacy and negotiating skills
·                  Knowledge of procedures on donor procurement.
·                  Knowledge of procedures on stock management and warehousing.
·                  Proven people management experience.
·                  Ability to understand and implement organisational and donor policies.
·                  Ability to manage and prioritize a varied workload in a rapidly changing work environment.
·                  Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities Coordination
·        Act as focal point from Logs Department in Field Office Derek for any logistics requirement (Procurement, Warehouse, Assets) and disseminate tasks across all logistics functions at sub-office level.
·        Oversight of all Logistics Functions at Sub-office level.
·        Ensure completeness of all Logistics KPI requirements to be submitted to Area Office. 


Procurement
·        Ensure Procurement Tracker is updated at all times.
·        Facilitate any procurement requirement at sub-office level (ensure Procurement Thresholds are followed, ensure adherence to ORG procurement standards). 


Assets and Warehouse
·        Ensure Asset Register at sub-office level is updated at all time.
·        Ensure the Warehousing daily procedures are followed by the WH and Assets Assistant.
·        Participate, when required, on any stock inventory process 
·        Perform spot checks on Warehousing and Assets to ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures.


Office and Camps Support and Maintenance 
·        Provide guidance to logistics staff in charge of support and maintenance.
