Requirements
♦ Law, social work, human rights, sociology, psychology or another similar degree/diploma.
♦ 3 years’ relevant experience with NGOs and/or UN agencies.
♦ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic.
♦ Good verbal and written communication skills in English desirable.
♦ Excellent in Microsoft Office skills
♦ Excellent organizational and supervision skills.
♦ Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
♦ Excellent self-motivation skills.
♦ Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
♦ Comfortable working in resource-deprived environment.
♦ Good stamina to stand and work for long hours.
♦ Adaptable and capable of working well under pressure.
♦ Ability to work in a team setting, as well as independently without supervision.
♦ A strong propensity for flexibility, teamwork, and creative thinking will be essential to this job.
Responsibilities
♦ Ensure strategic planning for the WGSS to enhance the workflow and improve the services' provision
♦ Prepare work schedules and work plans in coordination with the Sr. Protection Officer and the protection technical team based in Amman
♦ Follow up on implementation the work plan , ensure all needed supplies and logistics are secured , provide feedback to staff and to line mangers on the achievement on weekly and monthly basis and sharing the best practices and lesson learned related to implementing the activities on monthly basis.
♦ Supervise daily administrative operations, including vehicles movements and any daily expenses.
♦ Monitor administrative staff’s performance
♦ Archive staff data and follow up their issues.
♦ Resolve potential issues during the implementation under supervision of the Sr. Protection Officer
♦ Conduct regular meeting with the WGSS staff to discuss challenges, suggestion and success stories and sharing the MoM with the line manger.
♦ Ensure prompt ordering and stocking of WGSS supplies with close coordination with the OPS team and the line and technical managers.
♦ Ensure tracking system for all supplies needed for the activities.
♦ Follow up with OPS team on any needed maintenance in the WGSS.
♦ Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff when applicable and needed.
♦ Anticipate changing of needs in emergencies
♦ Ensure keeping all clients’ documents confidential,
♦ Under the supervision of the Senior Protection Officer, and in coordination with Security team maintain the safety and security of staff through participating in security plans preparation and implementation.
♦ Support the development and assist implementing new activities in Women and Girls Community Centres under supervision the Sr. Protection Officer and coordination with the technical team.
♦ Coordination with Health, case management and PSS staff to ensure consistency of the programs developed and when applicable implement joint activities and activities between Health and Protection .
♦ Engage with M&E team to develop and implement appropriate M&E plans for protection activities;
♦ Supervise and report data collection and statistics of daily activities in Community Centre and outreach activities through timely reporting of WGSS activities according
♦ to agreed schedules and templates. And mentioning any shift related to the work plan and monthly targets agreed in addition to sharing justifications and suggestions.
♦ Ensure the regular collection and analysis of complete and up-to-date gender and protection information needed for effective program/project design and monitoring.
♦ Ensure that all activities are implemented and coordinated based on a “do no harm” approach.
♦ Mainstream protection and gender across all areas of intervention .
♦ Perform other duties as required.
