Requirements
Education
It is preferable for the applicant (e) to hold a Bachelor of Psychology or a Bachelor of Education
specializing in Psychology or a Diploma in the same specialization, or a Diploma of Educational
Qualification.
Experiences
1- It is preferable for the applicant to have experience in dealing with adolescents from 12 to 18
years old.
2- Experience working in emergency education projects is preferred.
3- It is preferable to have experience in child protection in case of emergency.
4- Work experience in a similar position is preferred.
5- Experience in digital literacy training is preferred.
6- Experience in IASC guidelines in mental health and psychological support is preferred.
7- It is necessary to have high skills in communication and empathy.
Responsibilities
The purpose of the Position
The activator of activities is entrusted with training children and adolescents from 12 to 18 years of age
on matters related to PSS.
Key Responsibilities
The Programs coordinator in the HQ puts the donors’ satisfaction in the first place in the work through
the following tasks:
1- Doing psychosocial support sessions (PSS) for groups of children and adolescents from 12 to 18 years
old.
2- Evaluating and reporting cases related to psychosocial support that require referral to the case
manager in Mary’s organization.
3- Giving non-clinical MHPSS/PSS non-clinical educational activities
4- Giving (informal) educational lessons on topics related to life skills such as verbal
communication and non-violent communication, managing stress and pressure, as well as
managing anger and self-esteem, sense of agency,
5- Able to give lessons using modern teaching methods that focus on the learner center approach.
6- The task of giving lessons includes full preparation for them, especially the preparation of
educational materials.
7- Implementing lessons according to the lesson plan and according to the curriculum plan
according to the preparation of lessons, in addition to ensuring the provision of active learning
8- Ensuring the participation of all adolescents in the activities and their inclusion in the
educational process.
9- Making assessments related to the educational process, such as: pre and post assessments,
probing information, assessments of understanding, and ensuring access to educational
outcomes.
10- Follow up on Child Protection issues by escorting participants or young people on buses to
and from community centers.
11- Reporting on issues related to child protection to the Child Protection Officer in Mary's
Organization.
12- Participate in the follow-up with the parents and inspect the status of absent children who do
not show progress in matters related to the educational process.
