Skills Required
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to abide by Our Organization’s code of conduct and understand the principals of Our Organization’s statement of faith, as well as be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ♦ The facilitators should be literate, capable to communicate and be able to fill all onboard documents and logbooks as per fleet management requirement
♦ The facilitators should be familiar with the operations area and the roads.
♦ The facilitator must submit copies of a valid driving license and ownership certificate of the vehicle along with the CV.
♦ The facilitator must have at least 4 years’ experience in public driving.
♦ Only roads designated by the logistic and the security must be used. Our organization will not be responsible and liable to compensate for any trips that will be outside of designated area and out of work hours

Vehicle Requirements:
Van with the below specification:
♦ Functional Air conditioned
♦ At least 2 airbags (driver, front passanger)
♦ 9 seatbelts
♦ At least four doors
♦ Year of manufacuring: 2018 and above
♦ not less than 10 stable passengers’ seats
♦ The vehichle should be originally designed for passengers transportation not for goods shipments
♦ Should be well maintained and able to function as planned (good tires condition and spare tires, good engine conditions, good brakes, safety belt, etc.)
♦ Should be clean and bear no other external identification, beside the plate number.
♦ Should contain Roadside Emergency and Safety Kits (valid fire extinguisher, first aid kit, equipment for normal vehicle failure)
♦ The vehicle will be inspected on a daily basis by the Logistics Department. In case a vehicle is found to not compile with our organization inspection requirements at any point, the vehicle will be removed from the service and contract will be terminated, or requested to be replaced
Education / Experience Needed
♦ Must possess a valid driver’s license for Northeast Syria. General license to operate Coaster Bus preferred.
♦ Must have a valid ID for passing through checkpoints.
♦ Must pass the our organization driving test.
LANGUAGE
♦ Arabic and Kurdish required (spoken and written), English preferred
REASONING ABILITY
♦ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. ♦ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
ASSET MANAGEMENT & LIABILITY
One of the greatest safety risks Our Organization’ staff face while working in Northeast Syria, are vehicle accidents. Due to the danger of the roads in NES, facilitators are held to a high standard of excellence in regards to performance. This includes but is not limited to: maintaining safe distance when following behind other vehicles, using extreme caution if overtaking vehicles, observing the speed limit at all times, wearing seatbelts, use of mirrors and being aware of the vehicle surroundings, keeping the vehicle interior clean, making sure the fuel never drops below half tank when parked, parking vehicles in safe areas, ensuring vehicles are locked, making sure high value items are not left in vehicles, keeping vehicles free from damage and crashes, etc.
Due to the high value of the vehicles driven, and the importance placed on safety and good stewardship by Our Organization, facilitators will be held accountable for their actions while operating our organization vehicles. Facilitators will be held liable for negligent and inappropriate actions as well as poor performance while operating our organization vehicles. Individuals may receive penalties that include suspension of driving privileges, paying for damages, or in extreme cases, the immediate termination of employment. When and if necessary, penalties will be determined by an internal investigation committee comprised of Our Organization Syria leadership.

Responsibilities
Job Summary
Work in direct support of the Our Organization (Our Organization) in Northeast Syria (NES), abiding by the our organization code of Conduct. Position responsibilities include the operation of Our Organization vehicles safely and responsibly, ensuring up to date proper maintenance through preventative services for the vehicle. Performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Our Organization with a generous and serving spirit. This position will work in direct support of the operations program under the overall supervision of the Logistics Officer (LO).
Responsible for providing (unarmed) security for Our Organization personnel and property, as well as related tasks assigned by the management. Exhibit a generous and serving spirit while performing all duties and responsibilities
Job Duties:
♦ The facilitator must ensure that he strictly adheres to instructions from the site logistic department within the JD.
♦ 8 working hours a day (Saturday to Friday) With the Possibility of night shifts and shifts outside normal working hours, The number of working hours per day may vary from day to day according to need, and wherever the facilitator worked more than 8 working hours per day, it will be considered as unpaid overtime that will be compensated as vacations in later days.
♦ Vehicle must be ready for field trips and available for transport services on time that meet the needs.
♦ Facilitator must ensure that during working hours, the vehicle is solely used for the organization’s services.
♦ Our organization takes no legal responsibility nor accepts any fiscal responsibility for any injuries, damages or claims in respect of any and all accidents or crashes regardless of deemed responsibility and is not responsible for vehicle regular maintenance and/or any damages that may result from incidents that may occur.
♦ The facilitator will be fully responsible for any and all damages caused to property or people while performing the work
♦ Facilitator and vehicle must not carry any restricted commodities, including weapons, at any time. During the working hours
♦ The facilitator must not use the vehicle for any purpose other than what is stated in the scope of work during working hours.
♦ Facilitators are not allowed to change their vehicles during the service period without strong justification and prior approval from the Operations Manager/designee. In addition, the Operations Manager/designee may request improvements/repairs to the vehicle at no additional cost to Our organization.
♦ Drive the staff to and from their assigned location.
♦ Run errands as instructed by the Logistics Officer as needed.
♦ Be on time to pick up staff.
♦ Ensure the safety of the vehicle, goods, self, and Our organization staff at all times
♦ Maintain professional cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle at all times, both inside and outside
♦ Our organization facilitators must protect the personal safety of people and our organization facilities and assets and protect it from assault, sabotage, and theft.
♦ Conduct regular rounds, in keeping with security directives.
♦ Monitor the front yard, roads, corridors, offices, and guest house, and patrol around the building periodically.
♦ Monitor entry and exit of visitors, staff, and vehicles.
♦ Maintaining the cleanliness of the place, inspecting the generator, monitoring it, and monitoring the diesel tank and water tank on a daily basis.
♦ Patrol a perimeter fence (inside and outside)
♦ Assist with manual tasks around the compound as instructed by the Security Program Manager
♦ Report any suspicious activity or security incidents to the Deputy Safety Manager and Country Safety Manager
♦ Complete other activities as directed by the Line Manager and perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Our Organization with a generous and serving spirit.
♦ Complete daily inspection of the vehicle, assuring the following are working:
♦ Headlights
♦ Brake indicator light
♦ Brake fluid is at operational level
♦ Radiator fluid is at operational level
♦ Power steering fluid is at operational level
♦ Engine oil is at operational level
♦ Windshield fluid is at operational level
♦ Pro-actively perform routine maintenance and inspection on vehicles. Respond to any issues in a timely and appropriate manner, communicating issues and action required to the LO
♦ Complete daily vehicle log, recording the details of tasks and journeys made throughout the day.
♦ Adhere to the organization’s health, safety, and security rules, this includes no texting or the use of any electronic device while driving.
♦ Enforce the our organization policy that ALL Individuals wear their seatbelt when the vehicle is on and moving.
♦ Adhere to the our organization Driver Policies and Regulations, obeying all governmental road laws.
♦ Complete other activities as directed by the Line Manager and performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Our Organization with a generous and serving spirit.
