Responsibilities

♦ Manage the delivery of effective and efficient Obstetric and Gynecology services in the health facilities.

♦ Responsible to provide high standard of clinical practice and expertise in the assessment, investigation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with gynecological conditions.

♦ Conduct necessary diagnostic investigations on patients, explain findings and provide treatment options to patients.

♦ Provide health education to patients on reproductive health issues and disease prevention.

♦ Provide curative and preventive services to all patients following MoH or international recognized treatment protocols.

♦ Refer patients to other health care specialists as needed.

♦ Design, plan and deliver practical on-the-job skill enhancement trainings, mentorship or coaching on the selected gynecological topics for the other health workers in form of Continous Medical Education (CME) in order to maximize the quality of EmONC services for mothers and their babies.

♦ Participate in the care of clients of GBV and provide Clinical Management of Rape (CMR) to survivors.

♦ Undertake any other tasks in line with the job that may be requested by line manager or organization.
