Responsibilities

♦ Examine, diagnose, and treat patients in the pediatric clinic and wards according to the guidelines and available protocols.
♦ Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and children.
♦ Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns.
♦ Plan and execute medical care programs to aid in the mental and physical growth and development of children and adolescents.
♦ Examine children regularly to assess their growth and development.
♦  Advise patients, parents or guardians, and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
♦ Prepare reports of birth, death, and disease statistics, or medical status of individuals.
♦ Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.
♦ Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosis.
♦ Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians.
♦ Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
♦ Refer patient to medical specialist or another practitioner when necessary.
♦ Consult with or provide consulting services to other physicians.
♦ Assist in the supervision and training of junior medical staff.
♦ Apply hygiene standards in all medical activities.
♦ Anticipate changing needs and emergencies.
♦ Record all data on consultation and treatment and report it to RI.
♦ Must keep all patients’ communications both written and verbal confidential and not disclose any information regarding the patient care unless given consent by the patient.
♦ Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
