Requirements
Compulsory:
♦ Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or other educational background combined with relevant professional experience will be desirable.
♦ General Finance experience, minimum 6 months.
♦ Minimum 6 months of relevant experience with NGOs or INGOs.
♦ Arabic and Kurdish speaker, Good in English.
♦ Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel and Word Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
♦ Ability to work under pressure and independently.
♦ Ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment and to multi-task to meet deadlines.
♦ Promotes teamwork, contributes towards building team consensus and acts as a team player.
♦ Consistently approach work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude Demonstrates ability to identify problems.
♦ Makes recommendations related to work procedures and implementation of management systems.
Responsibilities
♦ Oversight of compliance procedures and accountability ensure proper compliance principles are followed reading daily finance tasks related to Hasake office.
♦ Responsible for delivering salary payments to national staff and indirect staff and suppliers.
♦ Ensure cashbooks are maintained and all the transactions are recorded on a daily basis.
♦ Responsible for petty cash and advances/cash payments
♦ Maintain advances tracker and liquidation of advances on time.
♦ closely cooperate with Program department on Payment procedures for Health MMUs and Protection WGSS in Hasake governorate.
♦ Scan finance documents on daily basis and ensure all scanned documents are named appropriately and archived on the Box for easy access and keep a backup for all scans against any accidental loss upload on the Box.
♦ Cash management and monitoring the cash flow (Hawala Follow up) and making sure there is enough money in the safe and sending a Request for Fund with a list of expected payments when it is needed.
♦ Comply with supporting documents with NES procurement map
♦ Acquire supporting documents and prepare Payment Vouchers required for the office payments.
♦ Do any additional task related to Syria Response Programs assigned by Finance coordinator.
♦ As this is an Emergency Response programme, at times there will be the requirement to work additional hours and perform other tasks not detailed in this job description.
