Requirements

This position will require a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
Compulsory:
➢ Medical graduate preferably with post-graduation in public health, social work, or related field
➢ Must have at least 3 years’ experience working with NGOs in humanitarian or development contexts
➢ Must be able to analyse and interpret data and to track performance against program indicators
➢ Must be fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
➢ Must be skilled in Microsoft Office
➢ Must be able to travel within the intervention area inside Syria
➢ Must have the ability to work effectively with various personalities and cultures

Responsibilities

Monitor and supervise the assigned healthcare providers in the supported facilities through ongoing
communication and regular field visits and share findings with line manager.
• Ensure quality of care in the facilities, by providing the direct support and on job training to the Team Leaders, and
the MMUs’ health workers on regular bases.
• Work closely with the protection team in the facility to ensure integration of programming through referrals.
• Actively participate in the recruitment process of medical staff at the supported facilities.
• Participate and lead needs assessment and surveys in the area of intervention.
• Participate in designing health plan at the field level, by providing inputs related to the context and the health
requirements.
• Suggest design improvements including staffing, service scope and equipment levels according to the standard
package of care.
• Suggest the needed capacity building for the medical staff based on supervision reports
• Coordinate with the relevant local health authorities and other health sector actors working in the region of the
organization interest as may be necessary, in coordination with the line manager
• Support Medical Coordinator, and Senior Health Manager in the planning of projects, and highlight any deviations
from the planed targets.
• Support HIMS Officer in data collection and data verification and ensure the quality of the data collected before
submitted in line with the planned of projects and highlight any deviations from the planed targets. Support the
submission of health data and reports from the health facilities on a regular basis and ensure that all health data
requirements are filled in dedicated template for every activity. Coordinate closely with the WASH team to ensure
the best practice within the facility, including the IPC and the incinerators.
• Coordinate closely with the Program Officers to ensure that all needed support, running cost, documentation is in
place and the support provided on regular bases.
• Support the pharmacist officer in reviewing the periodic drug consumption reports provided by the dispensers and
analyzing drug consumption against consultations and morbidities. Furthermore, design the capacity building,
drug needs, based on the consumptions.
• Support the Medical team to provide the needed (Medical and non-medical) BoQs for the facilities as required.
• Support community health officer in planning and implementing community health activities and CHW trainings.
• Provide the required technical support for the community health team in coordination with line manager.
• Conduct regular Beneficiaries chart reviews, case reviews, and case studies at regular bases, to ensure the
treatment protocol compliance for each of the assigned facilities.
• Identify prevalent epidemic diseases in the community and set up appropriate strategies to be implemented in
case of epidemics and other health emergencies.
• Attend regular meetings with the MMU’s Teal Leaders, the health facilities’ management boards when needed.
• Anticipate changing needs and emergencies and communicate it to the line manager.
• Provide training to doctors on the agreed clinical guidelines. Assist in training medical staff to build capacity and
ensure the maximum use of their skills, and their full and effective participation in health activities whilst
conforming to the organization and health authority protocols.
• Internally promote and encourage community participation in and ownership of health and nutrition activities at
the community level.

Must adhere and provide the support at the field level to adhere to all IPC protocols as related to COVID 19.
• Review and analyze the health facility reports, and support in the compiling of timely project reports, and submit
all the requested reports on regular bases, and based on the need.
• Participating in the capacity building planning and implementation for the organization and local partners as
needed
• All other duties and tasks as assigned by the line manager.
