Requirements

Hours:
40+ hours/wk (Full time field position)

Key Responsibilities
General
♦ Uphold the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence.
♦ Respect the THE ORGANIZATION  values at all times, both within and outside of working hours. 
♦ Be prepared to work within rural villages, IDP Camps, and PHC locations in Hassakeh Governorate, and to relocate at short notice.
♦ Work closely with all members of the health team to provide the highest possible quality of care for beneficiaries.
♦ Treat all beneficiaries and their relatives with respect and dignity.
♦ Maintain confidentiality for all beneficiaries.

Technical
♦ Has an excellent working understanding of nutrition programs especially CMAM programming
♦ Design a mother support groups model to facilitate education, counseling, and spiritual support for beneficiaries in the nutrition program.
♦ Implement mother support groups in communities with specific and measurable outcome goals
♦ Provide breast feeding counseling and IYCF education to PLWs and mothers of malnourished children.
♦ Train and mentor leader mothers to facilitate mother support groups in their respective communities
♦ Provide spiritual support to beneficiaries of the support groups
♦ Diploma in nutrition or health with minimum two years working experience with NGOs.
♦ Working experience of two year in CMAM program or PHC program.
♦ Experience in health and nutrition programs.
♦ Good relations with other people.
♦ Good capacity to work in a team and flexibility.
♦ Good interpersonal and communication skills
♦ Good writing and presentation skills
♦ English fluency (verbal and written) strongly preferred. Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic required.
♦ Experience working in a refugee context.  

Staff Management 
♦ Not a supervisory role

Security 
♦ Adhere to THE ORGANIZATION  security management plan
♦ Report any security incidents or concerns to HPM or security personnel immediately

Communication and Coordination 
♦ Interpret as necessary between Arabic/Local language and English for the HPM and other THE ORGANIZATION  staff. 
♦ Coordinate and Liaise with members of the THE ORGANIZATION  health management team and THE ORGANIZATION  Operations Team to ensure all objectives of the nutrition program are met.

Education / Experience Needed
♦ Minimum certification in nursing, nutrition, or similar health field required
♦ Two year experience working for an NGO in health care 
♦ Minimum 2 years working in nutrition specialty required, with strong preference given to those whose experience is with OTP/TSFP programming 

Language 
♦ English, strongly preferred
♦ Kurdish, required 
♦ Arabic, required

REASONING ABILITY 
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
