Requirements

♦ Relevant health degree such as medical, nursing, midwifery, or public health with additional experience in relation
to implementing community health programs.
♦ Previous experience managing big teams.
♦ Previous experience with data collection and analysis
♦ Able to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
♦ Flexible in schedule, attitude, and work processes with the ability to handle stressful situations
♦ Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
♦ Excellent English writing skills.
♦ Able to exercise sound judgment
♦ Able to relate to and motivate staff effectively.
♦ Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google software, particularly Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, MS Word, and MS Excel. Adobe suite is preferred.
♦ Previous NGO experience in a similar context is a plus.

Responsibilities

♦ Set up of appropriate strategies and SOPs for community-based health surveillance and reporting.
♦ Develop and implement a CHW training program, including participating in the production of creative and relevant
education messages such as visual aids, IEC materials and job aids.
♦ Set up of appropriate strategies and SOPs for community-based health surveillance and reporting.
♦ Actively spearhead in the development of the Community Health strategy and monitor its implementation.
♦ Identify and hire qualified Team Leaders and individuals for the role of CHW, at the field level.
♦ Meet with staff regularly to provide briefing on proposed activities, implementation and monitoring plan and roles
and responsibilities of each team member
♦ Regularly conduct field visits and routine supervision of the staff in the communities and facilities.
♦ Build the capacity of staff to implement best health practices in the communities and health facilities in relation to
outbreaks, epidemics and or pandemics whenever they emerge.
♦ Develop an internal monitoring and evaluation system to quantify and verify community health activities.
♦ Train and support community health workers, to implement an effective referral system for community members,
and ensure management of emergency cases in the communities.
♦ Interface closely with the WASH team to ensure key messages are consistent
♦ Assist WASH team in evaluating risks related to water, sanitation, medical waste disposal or other issues and
develop strategies to address the problems with the community.
♦ Attend regular meetings with the project administration when needed.
♦ Attend regular meetings with the authorities, UN agencies, INGOs, and local partners as needed.
♦ Anticipate changing needs and emergencies, communicating to management team
♦ Support in conducting initial needs assessments and determining areas of assistance
♦ Assist in computerized data collection tools and applications and oversee the process to ensure high quality
reporting of progress against proposal indicators by using RIs data collection systems.
♦ Assist in the preparation and drafting of periodic reports.
♦ Assist in implementation and monitoring and evaluations of programs in line with the approved project proposal
and budget.
♦ Assist to promote and encourage community participation and ownership of health, WASH and nutrition activities
at the community level.
♦ Assist in the organization and implementation of any community health campaigns and mobilization such as
vaccination campaigns, community screening, etc.
♦ Coordinate closely with the Medical Officer and Program Officer in planning and implementing community health
activities and CHW trainings.
♦ Participating in the capacity building planning and implementation for the RI’s local partners as needed.
♦ Must adhere and provide the support at the field level to adhere to all IPC protocols as related to COVID 19.
♦ Submit all the requested reports on regular bases and based on the need.
♦ All other duties and tasks assigned.
