Requirements

Job Summary 
The finance assistant will be responsible to maintain the daily finance cash operational transactions and scanning responsibilities 

Job Duties: 
• Maintain daily ledger posting schedules and the accuracy of all transactions in an organized, timely and professional manner.
• Ensure coding is assigned correctly before posting on Field Connect. 
• Process and collect payments in cash and reconcile daily.
• Handle Cash book and Petty Cash Box in the absence of the Finance Officer by making sure that all PC transactions including Field Expense Report are following Samaritan’s Purse policies/procedures.
• Maintain accuracy of all daily cash transactions and financial documents with proper reviews before disbursing. 
• Scan all finance documents, contracts, agreements and payroll documents in a timely manner and upload them into DocsVault. 
• Participate in weekly/monthly cash count and Surprise Cash Count.
• Maintain close and cooperative working relationships with fellow finance staff and the finance manager.
• Any other duties as assigned, this include but not limited to tasks that are assigned by the Senior Finance Officer or Finance Manager.
• Together with all Finance members ensure coding completion and organization of all financial documents.
• Assist in updating Bank Tracker and Check Log with Hawala payments key information when needed.
• Help as needed in preparing Purchase Invoices (Excel), send it to the Senior Finance Officer for a final review before posting.
• Assist in communicating as needed with Hawala office and vendors for a fast and smooth transfers processes. 
• Assist Finance Officer with preparing Hawala check Requests and circulating for approvals as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned, this include but not limited to tasks that are assigned by the Senior Finance Officer or Finance Manager.

10. Committed to the ORGANIZATION values and ethics.
11. Above average mathematic skills
 

Education / Experience Needed

Diploma in Finance or business administration with one to two years’ experience

LANGUAGE  

Arabic and English are required. Kurdish or Assyrian is a plus.
