Requirements
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, or other compelling, equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 previous experience in a similar or related position
• Experience with external liaising and strong knowledge of key interlocutors in NES.
• Demonstrate excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to have a very hands-on approach and active engagement with expert and working level contacts.
• A readiness to uphold the highest standards of integrity, adherence to humanitarian principles and standards as well
as a commitment to the overall mission.
• Strong multi-tasking, time-management and administrative skills needed.
Responsibilities
Support agency administrative process to facilitate all required government approvals and processes for operations and
staff.
• In coordination with Safety and Security Manager, liaise with authorities to facilitate movement of supplies across the
border and support program activities as requested by.
• On a daily basis, support with information on the changing threat environment and political and humanitarian context
through detailed collection and verification of information.
• Develop the knowledge required to follow-up, and report on incidents, ensuring consistent communication with designated
staff.
• Document and inspect all satellite phones, first aid kits, hibernation kits, and fire-fighting equipment in coordination with
Logistics, to ensure they are always operational.
• Monitor guards and ensure they are abiding by guard duties and responsibilities. Ensure they have adequate equipment at
all times and understand what to do in emergencies.
• Maintain the communications tree/staff group and support with the conduct of drills.This is to share immediate security
upates and concerns with all RI staff based in Hasaka governorate for quick alerts.
• Support with Incident Management as required. Sending a Flash Report within 24 hours and log the incident in the Smart
Sheet in case the security manager is unavailable.
• Support in conducting investigations as required and provide analysis.
• Developing security assessments for any new building suggesting the needed
• improvement and inhacment in the physical security such as: metal bars, cameras, electrical connections, warning
systems, …etc.
• Conducting basic safety and security trainings to the guards and staff ,such as fire fighting trainings, first aid, road
safety,Satellite equipment and others.
• Conductig inductions for new joiners and visitors within the first 24-48 hours of joining.
• Support in the implementation of the security SOPs by RI staff and visitors.
