Requirements
Compulsory:
♦ Academic Certificate in Human Medicine
♦ At least 2 years of working experience in the relevant field.
♦ Must have the ability to work effectively with various personalities and departments
♦ Local language is essential.
Desirable:
♦ Preferably work experience in primary health care facilities
♦ Knowledge of community medicine principles
Microsoft skills
♦ English language will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
1. Examine, diagnose and treat patients who attend health facility or were referred from another health facility according to the guidelines and available protocols, both in outpatient department and emergency room.
2.Perform the necessary medical examination to diagnose the patient’s condition, and request, perform and interpret tests and records.
3.Collect and record all patient medical information, including medical history, examination, tests, diagnosis and treatment plan in the correct place in the standard patient chart used by us.
4.Advise patients, parents, guardians, caregivers and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
5.Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians.
6.Prescribe or administer the needed treatment plan, including vaccination and medical advice care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury.
7.Monitor patients’ condition and progress and re-evaluation and/or change treatments as necessary.
8.Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for follow-up in and outside the health facility, when necessary.
9.Apply hygiene standards and adhere to IPC procedures in all medical activities
10.Anticipate changing of needs and emergencies.
11.Record all consultation and treatment data then report to relevant parties.
12.Promote health education in conjunction with other health care professionals and have an awareness of the local health and social issues.
13.Assist in the supervision and training of junior medical staff.
14.Keep all patients’ documents confidential, and never disclose any information related to the patient unless authorized by the patient.
15.Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
