SKILLS REQUIRED:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

1.    Field experience and knowledge of the region is a strong asset.
2.    Experience working with diverse cultures.
3.    Must possess at least two (2) years of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4.    Minimum of two (2) years working experience with international organizations.

LANGUAGE:  

Arabic, Kurdish, and English required (spoken and written).

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

The Operation Assistant's responsibilities : 

1.    Warehousing:
•    Oversee warehousing activities, aligning them closely with program requirements.
•    Drive the implementation and optimization of warehousing responsibilities to enhance operational efficiency.
•    Provide crucial support to the team by managing warehouse and transportation documentation, including Way Bills, Stock Cards, Fuel Stock, etc.
•    Conduct regular physical inventory counts and stock verification, proactively identifying areas for improvement.

2.    Base Management:
•    Assist in coordinating with various departments to fulfill base-related needs and address operational challenges promptly.
•    Assist in creating purchase requests for base supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

3.    Border Crossing Movements
•    Coordinate border crossing movements, including obtaining necessary approvals and processing vehicle requests to facilitate smooth and timely transportation of personnel and equipment across borders.
•    Communicate expected border crossing movements effectively with the Security team and other relevant departments at SPI.

4.    Ad Hoc Duties:
•    Undertake any other related duties as requested by the line manager.

To ensure that operations and programs in Al-Hasakah most effectively serve the beneficiaries in NES, this role will also perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager, approaching them with a generous and serving spirit.
