EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
♦ Field experience and knowledge of the region is a strong asset.
♦ Experience working with diverse cultures.
♦ Must possess at least two (2) years of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
♦ Minimum of two (2) years working experience with international organizations.
LANGUAGE
Arabic, Kurdish, and English required (spoken and written).
REASONING ABILITY
♦ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
The Base Assistant provides daily operations support at Al-Hasakah Base and for programming in NES, reporting directly to the Logistics Coordinator.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of this key position include:
Base
♦ Coordinate with various departments to fulfill base-related needs and promptly address operational challenges.
♦ Create and process purchase requests for base supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
♦ Oversee and complete base purchases efficiently.
♦ Monitor fuel levels and proactively order additional fuel to maintain an adequate stock.
♦ Perform and supervise building maintenance tasks to ensure the base remains functional and safe, hiring laborers or specialized technicians as needed.
♦ Manage cleaners' schedules, provide performance feedback, and ensure high cleaning standards are maintained.
♦ Ensure hibernation kits are stocked and food items are within expiration dates.
♦ Manage office plants and garden, maintaining a consistent watering cycle and arranging additional gardening care if necessary.
♦ Monitor potable and non-potable water consumption levels, ordering additional supplies as needed to ensure continuous availability.
♦ Manage the monthly lunch menu, ensuring quantities are correct, meals meet requested standards and high quality, and provide feedback to suppliers as needed.
Ad Hoc Duties:
♦ Undertake any other related duties as requested by the line manager.
To ensure that operations and programs in Al-Hasakah most effectively serve the beneficiaries in NES, this role will also perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager, approaching them with a generous and serving spirit.
