Job Profile

ABOUT THE ROLE: As an HR Officer, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day HR operations in Al Hasakeh. You will manage the recruitment process when need, coordinate with other departments to ensure new employees receive necessary support, implement effective onboarding plans, and provide general staff support. Your responsibilities will also include payroll management, maintaining HR files, and supporting capacity-building efforts for partner organizations' HR teams. AUTONOMY AND COMPLEXITY

In this role as HR Officer, you'll be accountable for maintaining a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures within the organization. You'll navigate challenges related to recruitment, onboarding, payroll management, and employee relations while upholding organizational values and standards. Your ability to effectively manage these responsibilities amidst these complexities will be crucial in ensuring the success of HR initiatives and supporting the overall mission of the organization.


Essential criteria


♦ Minimum of two years of HR experience.
♦ Very good in English, written and speak.
♦ Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, internet).
♦ A team builder with excellent people skills; culturally sensitive.
♦ Ethical and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.


Desirable criteria
♦ University degree in a relevant field.
♦ Previous experience with INGOs at least one year.
♦ Familiarity with HR systems and processes in a humanitarian context.

Responsibilities

Recruitment, Onboarding, and General Staff Support:
♦ Participate in recruitment process from A to Z and ensure new employees' needs are met.
♦ Develop and implement effective onboarding plans.
♦ Conduct training sessions on administrative processes and HR policies.
♦ Maintain and update HR-related trackers and documentation.
♦ Ensure proper exit procedures for departing employees.
Organizing and Maintaining HR Files:
♦ Ensure employee personal files are complete and up to date.
♦ Follow internal SOPs for maintaining hardcopy files and sending them to the main office.
Payroll Management:
♦ Prepare payroll, and submit it on time, supported by required documents.
Development and Training:
♦ Identify training needs for employees and ensure completion of mandatory training.
♦ Provide technical support and capacity-building to the HR Assistant.
♦ Provide support and capacity-building to partner organizations' HR teams, with support from the HR Coordinator.
Communication Responsibilities:
♦ Disseminate timely reminders and announcements to staff regarding important HR-related matters,
such as performance evaluation dates, policy updates, and training sessions.
Employee Relations:
♦ Ensure timely processing of contracts, transfers, promotions, etc.
♦ Receive staff grievances and ensure awareness of complaint procedures.
HR Systems Management:
♦ Maintain and update the smart sheet for new joiners and leavers, and update the on the HRIS, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee data.

♦ Consistent with our safeguarding and protection policies, ensure all people who come into contact with us are as safe as possible.
